A non-partisan sheriff (not a "director" ala Dade) vetted and selected by a panel of Broward police chiefs. Imagine that? Too bad would never happen. PBA just phuked it up for Dade. They're back to an elected sheriff, left to the choice of the partisan masses. We can only hope the right person for the job runs and wins the dem ticket here, because that's who is ALWAYS going to be elected in this sheethole county.
