Do you seriously not understand how far off of the reservation you have to be to sneak over to a neighbor's house and put handfuls of nails under the tires of the vehicle they use to transport their kids? And then add to that lying about it? It is a sign of severe mental instability. So is your support of his conduct.

I get it now!! The OP is that psycho Cop Block ***** who stalks Sheriffs. Don’t you live in Punta Gordon or some backwater trailer trash area down around Charlotte County? Why don’t you drive through Pinellas County and bring your video camera!! We love people like you Andrew Bryant Sheets.

Get your facts straight jackass. That's not the case. A big difference from doing what you allege (which is not even close to accurate) to tossing a handful of nails onto the driveway. There was no damage to ANY property or injuries to ANY person.
I read the SPPD report (about 2 paragraphs) it was closed exceptionally as a "trouble with individual". Was it a majorly stupid thing to do? Yes. Should we crucify a person who for 23 years was a great example of a Deputy? No. Lance paid the price for boneheaded mistake.
I certainly hope none of you commenting and slamming him were guys or girls who actually worked beside him and/or were trained by him when he was an FTO - and if you are then shame on you for being two faced cowards. It is disgusting how you can pile on. Just let it go and move on.

LMAO... REALLY? Soi what is the difference? He INTENDED to put nails in the driveway to flatten the tires of the neighbor's minivan they used to transport their children. Did it flatten any tires, no. But that's because the neighbor noticed the nails all over his driveway. Lance MEANT to flatten the tires. That's some pretty twisted crap for a deputy, an LEO to do. No matter how you slice it, it shows clear mental issues. Why don't you tell the rest of the story, about WHY he did this and how he has been threatening and harassing this family for a LONG time. Do you defend EVERY mentally disturbed criminal this same way?

Hey moron, if every person who did something bad was deemed to have mental issues we would fill the hospitals in one shift. And what’s hilarious is if he threw the nails down, but nothing was damaged, what crime do you have? Nothing, that’s what, nothing. No damage, no vandalism. Driveway is a common area, no trespass. If harassment has been going on, as you claim, you may have stalking. But neighbors hating each other hardly classified as a mentally disturbed issue. Must have been your minivan. Think of this. When he was a deputy he had restraint due to his job. He quit. No more restraint. Good luck!!

Lance got what he deserved. Dumb azz who did really stupid things. You cant harass your neighbor, throw nails on their driveway to damage their mini van and have a video with little kids cleaning up the nails you tossed and still be a Deputy Sheriff. Then you cant lie about it. Sure they are going to keep a guy who tossed nails to damage the All American Family’s mini van and lied about it. Are you nuts???? It’s called a higher standard and setting an example. If he did not quit he no doubt he wud have been fired. What stupid cop bubble world do you live in too think different. If you think that cops get a pass because they are special then you are living in a different time. Go back 20 years Bro.
