FDLE is a political entity; law enforcement part is the least difficult

You read it here first, finally confirmed.

Typical low education FDLE forum troll. I have a full and diverse state and local LE career thanks, and have done many things, including being a Special Agent at FDLE. The trouble with law enforcement types that never do anything else is that you think no one can run an agency without "coming up through the ranks". While there is merit to some of that experience, LEADERSHIP and solid organizational management skills are domain agnostic. In addition, FDLE, like it or not, is a political entity, requiring political savvy to maintain good standing with the funding source, the Florida Legislature. Quite frankly the "law enforcement" part of it is the least difficult. Not rocket science as evidenced by some who have worn a badge. Let me know if you need help with any of the big words.

Independent? Above partisanship? Who needs it, we're the Florida Department of Political Law Enforcement.

Political entity? Hialeah and Sweetwater PD's are a hot bed of criminal behavior. Stealing citizens vehicles, forcing a teen to strip naked while officer masturbates after being stopped for a u turn, LEO theft of 19 firearms, and last but not least, ties to the cocaine cartels. All overlooked by FDLE because they don't want to address the cultural corruption of the Mariel generation of Cuban Americans, criminals released from Castro's jails who tend to have much lower moral standards than LEOs in general.
Yes, FDLE is a political entity.

An oldie but goodie from another thread. J. Edgar Hoover would be so proud of a law enforcement agency operating as a political entity.

The comment from FDLE affiliated person about LE is a slap in the face and extremely offensive. Tell us how you really feel. If LE work is so easy, we don't need FDLE.

They have the gall to claim law enforcement is easy!!! Maybe it is for pencil pushing desk agents at FDLE but not for the ones who actually put on a bullet proof vest every day to do their job, risking their lives in dangerous situations. I'm sick and tired of FDLE's condescending attitude toward local law enforcement. I've always known it but can't believe someone actually put it in words on this forum.

It's time for all new leadership at FDLE.

The crime lab is the only service FDLE provides that's really any benefit to local LE.

"Political savvy" is more like smoke and mirrors. First they said the piece of junk plane that made emergency landing with governor aboard was seized from a drug dealer. Now they say it's a $10k federal surplus plane.

Had a great narrative going with the look at us we're saving $ by using drug seizure aircraft. Then those nosy reporters had to start asking questions.
