Details below:
Effective Sunday, November 11th, 2018 all requests for time off will be handled and approved by the Staffing detail.
FOD personnel will advise their respective supervisor and staffing detail (email group on outlook) via email of their request for time off and then submit a time-off request via TeleStaff
The staffing detail personnel will make a determination to approve/deny the request based on the time-off policy/CBA.
The staffing detail will post approved time off on P-sheet and notify the requestor and their supervisor via reply email of approval/denial.
Patrol supervisors will still be responsible for posting on TeleStaff “I” and “IF”.


All time-off requests will still be directed as above.
In accordance to Article 15.4, CEO will still be honored if requested ten (10) days in advance, regardless of staffing, except when deemed necessary by the Chief of Police or his designee.
EO requests submitted within ten (10) days may be granted at the sole discretion of the management pursuant to minimum staffing.
No request made within twenty-four (24) of the requested shift will be granted, regardless of minimum staffing, this includes partial time off request, without the approval of the section commanding officer.
In accordance to Article 31.6 all vacations leave must be requested twenty-four (24) hours in advance of use and shall be taken in no less than one (1) hour increments, pursuant to minimum staffing.
The Field Operations Division Chief’s office will be updating Patrol SOP 1-9 to reflect the above changes.
