It seems there are people who feel a sense of jealousy, anger and hate towards Benny. Being miserable and spewing your dislike and detest for any individual isn't going to get you anywhere nor is it going to change the position he is in. Whether one feels he derserves it or not is a personal opinion and truthfully holds no weight. By far, Benny is a dedicated employee who is responsilbe, reliable, dependable and trustworthy. Benny has what it takes to move this agency in the right direction because he has NO personal agenda and never has. The fact someone posts such venom towards a person as opposed to congratulating them could simply be that someone has an axe to grind. There could also be other reasons as well, but it's irrelevant at this point. We have all dealt with people in our career who we may not care for, but that doesn't mean the employee isn't capable of doing their job.

I dont think anybody is jealous but to jump that many spots to achieve a magic wanded position with a large pay increase is total B.S. Lamberti’s XO stayed the rank of Sgt...and Russ was a civilian employee.

Too much hate on this site. We got rid of one person that made us upset. Now the new sheriff does something like the last one did and it makes us upset.

Remember the xo is a good guy and he would do anything for anyone. Bad move on all parts but he would give you the shirt off his back.

He stayed a Sgt because he had a bullseye on his back and knew it. This way he was protected by the union. If it weren't for that he would have chosen the magic wanding too.

He didn't ask or politic for the position. The sheriff picked him, he was just as surprised as anyone. He will do what's best for the agency, he doesn't have any personal agenda. Why not just support him and give him a chance to do good. We have enough dirtbags that everyone knows to pick on.

And what made the Sheriff pick him out of the nearly 1800 ish DLE staff. What makes him so special? How many other people were asked and was the position turned down by anybody else. You seem to have a lot of these answer’s? Not trying to be a a$$ about it just curious to see where the new Sheriff is coming up with some these moves.
