    Thumbs up Election graft

No son, nothing will "magically" change. Instead of flies buzzing around county commissioners, the flies will be furiously buzzing around the elected Miami-Dade sheriff. He or she will be a magnet for graft, which will remain undetected i.e. only the stupid ones get caught. Welcome to the Miami-Dade Sheriff's Office.

True, should Miami-Dade voters elect Gimenez sheriff. Supported by his Hialeah ally and personally selected heir apparent, Commissioner Esteban Bovo, Miami-Dade County would be going back to the future and not in a good way. We hope not.
