Fort myers Beach and Parkland epic law enforcement failure
The Captain of the West / beach had prior knowledge that a mad man was making threats against the Fort Myers library. Just like Parkland a craz murder was able to walk the streets and kill. Please request several assistance calls in reference to this incident. Thank god this guy did not have a gun. Why did not LCSO fail to follow new laws to stop a incident like this and not followed or ignored. We failed to protect Fort Myers Beach Public Library director Leroy Hommerding. The Captain should be fired immediately and the news media need to look into this story. A formal complaint was sent to Governor DeSantis and Attorney General Ashley Moody.

Of course, it’s always law enforcements fault. It’s our fault because political opponents want to attempt to smear our badge and the people that work for LCSO.

Leadership and we can do a press conference saying how wonderful we are like Carmine and Scott Israel. This could have been prevented and the Captain was advised.

Community Policing
[QUOTE=Unregistered;2974403]
A timeless classic, suggested reading: https://www.ncjrs.gov/pdffiles/commp.pdf
Implementing community policing changes the structure of policing benefits:
Community policing helps build up and strengthen the community.
The partnership that develops over time can ultimately help the police find the underlying causes of crime within the community.
By getting the community involved, the police have more resources available to them to help in crime prevention.
By familiarizing themselves with the members of the community(businesses and residents) officers are more likely to obtain valuable information about criminals and their activities.
Obtaining a reliable evaluation of the needs of citizens and their expectations of law enforcement.
