We are headed for a sheriff election in the not too distant future. No idea who will run or win. We know those with large campaign coffers and no police experience will line up to run for that office.
This much we know. We won’t have to put up with a dictator of a mayor whose claim to fame was riding around in a little red fire truck in city of Miami and has never done a lick of law enforcement calling himself “Sheriff”.
We won’t have to put up with a paper tiger Director who is nothing but Gimenez’s sock puppet, dancing and doing push up contests on sidewalks.
We won’t have to put up with covered up investigations intended to safeguard the careers of corrupt lobbyists and politicians.
Maybe the Gimenez’s and Perez’s of this world will escape with their inflated salaries and benefits. Good thing is if they step out of line in the future at least they will be fairly investigated and dragged in front of a judge.
