Not an idiot, just smart enough to look past my own ignorant agenda. Wish you could. Polan was a serious douche, but he had little to no contact with us working stiffs. You likely hate the vest; camera; use of force and pursuit policies that you think he singlehandedly pushed, and you think they will all disappear now. Not so much my special forces bed wetter. Polans delivery sucked, but the messages he delivered arent going anywhere. It will just come from another someone who recently sold his/her sole to the devil. But following your logic, those policies are now ok in your book because an original BSO is giving the order.

There is no question this place needed a tidying up and some ridiculous hires should have been selectively terminated. It happens every day in corporate america, but its done systematically and with purpose. Stakeholders are told why and the expected outcome of the shakeup. And its never done just to settle a childish vendetta. Additionally, dramatic change is conducted slowly, methodically and based on a committee of many. Then, those in question are called in to speak and personally meet with the CEO. Given his extraordinary level of experience and impressive educational accomplishments, our CEO hopefully could have decided on his own who to keep and get rid of. But he relies on a small group of advisers, many of which barely had a high school diploma when hired on.

But what happened is just the opposite. He acted solely on a list provided by a deputy who's accomplished nothing in law enforcement but now thinks hes Jimmy Hoffa. JB was probably smoking dope in the park when many hes afraid of were already accomplished leaders in law enforcement. Now hes an organizational expert and adviser to an 800 million dollar business? Anywhere else, he'd be wiping homeless feces out of the back of his police car asking sergeant tony for a day off for a Disney trip. But to be fair, tony relied on a few more that smiled at Israel for his last 6 months in office, then immediately began fondling tony the day he came in. Had he ever been in charge of a large organization, he wouldn't have fallen for that juvenile trick. His lack of experience is evident. Several of these newly promoted generals have questionable pasts including arrests, escapes and poor work performance, but I guess their overwhelming charm, miles of bull-sheet and University of Phoenix diplomas override everything. Once he works his magic on the districts and the jail captains this week, we will officially have no area that isn't slowed or operationally paralyzed with confusion, because he chose to fix everything. And no, I'm not one of the fired flunkies you speak of. Just someone who's smart enough to know a clusterfork when I see one and it appears that our substitute sheriff will sleep like a baby after walking us all off the cliff. Now I'm off to the gym because that's where you find real opportunity here in Broward. LOL
