Seem as though those chickens have come home now. The Guv isn't doing Tom any favors by appointing Hoffman (not going to happen). Heard Tom is searching for Desantis allies to get help to have Hoffman appointed. Why would Desantis do any favors for you Sheriff knight? You practically shoved Putnam down our throats and his all because your daddy Neal told you to! You see if Sheriff Tom leaves he has to have the Guv. appoint a new Sheriff and Tom wants Porn Thief Mchoffman to be the Sheriff, but (long sigh) Desantis isn't giving any F-cks because why should he.

Desantis does not like Neal or any of his lackeys (long story but look it up). Tom decides to leave and Desantis might appoint whoever helped him win and whomever supported him. Ask yourself this. Why would Desantis appoint the like of guy like Hoffman? A confirmed deputy who stole from citizens and violated their trust. Desantis is in the business of firing screw up Sheriff's and he dam sure aint gonna rubber stamp Hoffman. Looks like you are going to have to run again Sheriff or maybe Hoffman will run. Either way Desantis is sure not to help either of you. Those chicken have come home buddy.

Funny you should mention that as Sheriff Knight was just in Venice polling some of the local politicos that supported our Governor. Apparently, he is questioning if he is going to run again, using the term "I'm out" with the follow-up of needing help getting to the Governor so he can ask him to appoint Hoffman. As you pointed out, he was a big Putnam supporter. Looks like he put his eggs in the wrong basket, again.

In reference to Knight soliciting support in Venice to get Hoffman appointed by the governor to be the next sheriff, that bridge was burned. Do you remember several years ago when Knight waltzed into a City of Venice council meeting and threatened to "take over" the City of Venice and VPD? They remember it vividly and there is filmed news footage of it.

I think it's time for him to go. If you have been up to the new HQ you will see no smiling faces. He wanted a building and he got it. I hope the next Sheriff will work harder at building trust and relationships with the people who work there. Great facility, great equipment, great people. Horrible leadership.
