Coming from someone that probably hasn’t tried to do either and will just sit back and criticize.

This place is going to implode. It’s just a matter of time. Tick, tock, tick, tock. Just sit back and watch. They have burned a lot of bridges. Sit back and enjoy the fun.

Funny how the rank and file ***** back and forth and call each other names when it is the brass that has the place screwed to the rafters.

Agreed. Been FTO and currently a corporal.

FTOs are under orders to pass everyone regardless. This unwritten policy has been in effect for a good number of years. Except jailers, FTOs can fail them (unless they have connections) and send them back to the jail because the jail needs the bodies.

Corporals do most of the sergeants' menial work they don't want to be bothered with. Some of the new corporal choices are mind-boggling - disasters waiting to happen.

The agency is scraping the bottom of the barrel when selecting FTOs and Corporals. There are some pretty bad ones being promoted and pushed through. It's laughable until they become your supervisors or move up to sergeant.

Hahahahahahahah. What 🐮 crap. FTO’s have NEVER been under orders to pass anyone over. The only unwritten policy is maybe from one or two weak ass FTO Sergeants. And jailers have the same training and scoring as anyone else.

Corporals? Some suck, some are good. It depends on what the sergeant lets them do.

The rest of what you said is correct.
