Supervisors Pow Wow
Wonder how many Supervisors had the nads to bring up these over the top punishments in some cases, and why everybody is afraid to make decisions? Grady Judd is often showing off people his Agency has arrested, we prefer to do news conferences showing off just how bad our employees are, and how hard we slammed them. We are now the oppressive, micro managed, joke of a Agency that Tampa and St. Pete used to be!!!!!!!! Wonder what the tally is under this bunch in charge, bet theres been more firings, deps arrested, and huge suspensions, than all other bay area Agencies combined!!!!!!!

The answer is NONE! The supervisors are scared to death of Bob and agree with everything he says to keep their cushy positions. Nobody sticks their necks out for an**ne. **u are on **ur own so do the minimum required, don't take any chances and when in doubt, contact **ur supervisor and let him make the decision. That way **u are covered and if anything goes wrong it's on the supervisor. And don't volunteer for anything. Stay under their radar so **u can survive to retirement.

What do you think is causing this paralysis? Lack of experience in some cases, but the bigger problem is exactly what has been said. Peoples entire career can be destroyed with one bad judgement call. Imagine going through a career and never making a mistake.......your gonna make them. Judgement calls can be very subjective and you will make thousands and thousands of them. Your past performances, and your work history should be weighed, thats whats not happening with todays decisions. There is nobody that hasnt violated a Agency rule and reg, or made a judgement call that might have been better handled another way. Part of experience is making mistakes and learning from them. Police work is more often than not, in grey areas that are not black and white. So management makes judgement calls. Whats lacking is anybody below the Sheriff in the COC will not make any decision that will put themselves at risk. Yet these same people will say I wouldnt have handled it that way, while remaining silent on judgement day.
