No inmate or their counsel should ever dictate housing issues, but in media photos, but one cannot miss the expression on the face of the deputy who was assaulted by Cruz. It's disturbing. A picture says 1000 words. In this particular case, there should be serious consideration about assigning a different deputy. 99% of the time, it's unwarranted, but in this case, acting on principle may not be best practice.

would be hard for anyone who got their butt kicked by an inmate to be objective after that. if something goes down and cruz ends up injured the news will be all over those photos of RB giving cruz the evil eye in court. more bad publicity wouldnt be good

Beltran is a loser with questionable character. He should have been fired years ago! He is Goldbergs do boy and should not be given special assignments! He should be on alpha shift tues/we’d off!

Seems that the defense dropped the motion. A loose cannon who acts out would benefit the defense. Smart move on their part. They can do an " I told you so."
