Don't laugh, Javi is being considered 1 of a dozen officers from other departments to be the spoke person and model to get more to sign up as police and to make spot light video's to be played on air. The danger officers face everyday for the public. This is from the same producers that made cops and live P.D. It's said to be a 12 part show.

I think this is great. That there is a dozen officers being considered. That seems more fair.
Miami PD needs more community relation and more positive PR on the accomplishments of the blue.
Way too much press on the negatives which do occur, but the community relations dept needs to fight for its place in the global realm of uniform.

Additionally, I hope this is all off-duty assignment work, and make sure it does not cross over into the work shift. It would not be fair to the officers not selected as well as the officers not participating.
So, while an ego trip might ensue, it is very important that command make sure this is off duty only, so not to interfere with department focus and policy.
