#fixit
The vast majority of BSO support Governor Desantis, Sheriff Tony, and Mr. Pollack. Andy Pollack has affected more positive change in the past year than any of you naysayers have accomplished in a lifetime. Every single time this guy speaks, it's from the heart, with passion, and right on point.
Superintendent Runcie, hopefully you are next. I hope Sheriff Tony has the drive and passion to really fix BSO. The top heavy, unecessary brass, the RAMPANT nepotism, political hires, and unchecked waste of tax dollars has been out of control since the Lamdirty days, and only became much worse under Israel's regime.

I just want to make sure I understand. You're pissed because political animals have served as sheriff. Now, you are pissed because the appointment is not a political animal?

From #FixIt Parkland
Request:
COMMUNICATE as we go forward. Comment on your observations about character and performance. This appointment is not about vengeance. It's not about the NRA, and it's not about the Pollacks. It's not about anything but the desire and passion to keep the kids safe. Whatever side of the isle that comes from, so be it. There is no up side for the public in having your agency a place with low morale where cops hate coming to work and hate those they serve. For 2020 we want the BEST candidate for this mission. The body cameras and (understandably) defensive posturing of law enforcement make direct communication with us difficult. Here is your forum. We're here. We're reading; and we will read every day. Tell us what you see. Tell us where the problems are. Tell us what is working.
Keeping kids safe has more to do with addressing mental health and ousting this imbecile school superintendent and a few principals; we know this. But, the law enforcement piece is critical as well. When PROMISE is finally obliterated, and it will be, things need to be in place. We'll get there; and if we can all get on the same page; we'll get it right.

Here is the number one problem - your sense of being better than others because you are wealthy. As you stated Republican Parklanders don"t mix with those people - Isn't Andrew Pollack a transplant from NY as you called it.
You can't paint me as a coward because i'm not BSO.

You are way off base. It was obvious that the poster was referencing "those people" as the ridiculous radicals who blame the NRA and not a net worth difference. That was an assumption on your part. The transplants from New York are about 50/50 republican and democrat

Pollack is part of the problem and not the solution because he is clueless. He is an azz who got a newbie governor to make a stupid appointment that we will pay for with his own incompetence. Talk bout politics. SI was all about politics but this decision is the same thing. Desantis playing to Pollack and making a guy SHERIFF who probably might get a job as a deputy. Plezzzzz. Squad sergeant for 2 years to Sheriff. BS Andy you screwed us on this one.

You present yourself as if this was done to you personally, as if the agency revolves around YOU. You don't know anything about Tony's competence or incompetence after 3 days. None of us do yet. But we do know that the last amazing leader with an extensive resume, that impressed many, at a swearing in in 2013 with vignettes about leading you through the darkness, just left the agency declaring himself as a victim, just as you are doing. Perhaps what the psychiatrists need to do during the hiring process is weed out those with an obvious persecution complex. No one 'screwed" you or anyone else. If Tony is not the right guy, he'll be gone. As it stands, the agency can only go up from here anyway.
