He was worthless at the jail as well and got the job because his daddy was Lt. plus lots of azz kissing once he started. Talked a lot of smack but couldn't back it up. Back in those days if you did not back it up you were a coward to the inmates and the jailers. Also one of the dumbest people to ever work there. Everyone was happy when he left.

The difference in pay between topped out deputy pay and captain is about $10000. Sounds like a lot of money but it isn’t. After taxes and the B.S. that you have to go through and be aged before your time, it isn’t worth it. Lt. Pay isnt much more than topped out deputy pay. That why theses guys are working details. The pay really isn’t there. Most of your supervisors that don’t work details are the ones that have family that has money, property and other businesses. If they have money, the Sheriff wants them because they contribute to his campaign.

Money is the lifeblood of politics. If you have money and donate you are in. If you don't you are on the outside. It's that simple. That's how it works and has worked with every administration. Except now Bob has his own PAC so anyone can donate as much as they want and remain anonymous.
As far as the difference in pay between ranks, just check the base pay scale. A captain makes a lot more than $10k compared to a topped out deputy.

All these things maybe true but Joey didn't start it. He's not the one who sent it. It can't all fall on him. It was stupid across the board.

Hi dumb dumb. Topped out deputy is 75k. Captain is 119k. Where did you learn arithmetic? I know you can add in shift differential, holiday pay and overtime, it’s still not a difference of 10k. Just saying. And your idea of campaign contributions is ignorant too. If you think the sheriff relies on his people’s money you’re crazy. 3000 employees versus the one million residents of the county? Hahaha. And the PAC’s are funded by wealthy citizens. Stupid.

They were friends for the entire time they were here. Both played practical jokes on each other. It came inner office mail, your first clue, you werent being targeted by terrorists! Lt over reacted, primarily because he excels in computers and minutia and not police work. The Chiefs had this right but were overruled by the Sheriff. Handled badly and sad.
