Let's say that a deputy committed a serious violation and another deputy was a witness. The witnessing deputy documented the violation in writing to his supervisors prior to the end of his shift. The violator resigned (she was probably going to be fired) so my friend took the brunt of the sheriff's full wrath, a Level 5 with time off.

Heard they going after Piper's other half now.......Theres no defending taking a joke, albeit learned after the fact, where the dep resigned, at the urging of some Chiefs. Matter was suppose to end there, but no, Chiefs wisdom, keeping the matter in perspective, probably considered 35 yrs of a hard working good dep as mitigation, for not doing anything further. Chiefs got trumped, and its not good enough to resign, lets go after both Pipers and utterly destroy everything they ever contributed to the Agency, and ruin them financially trying to defend themselves. People, this overzealous destruction of a couple that have given the majority of their lives as good productive employees of this Agency, was not even a consideration!!!! So any of you out there thinking I do things well, have a good reputation, etc that think any of that matters, your so naive!!!! Absolutely none of that matters. The more aggressive you are doing this job, the more chances you have of making a judgement call that will put you in the cross hairs. If you dont have the confidence that management will have your back, its impossible to do this job, if your to scared to do it. I hate slugs, they are usually disgruntled about something, or have borderline abilities. This fear that is paralyzing this Agency now, is more about preservation. You no longer have to be a slug, to worry about this job. Hard working, dedicated employees, can see how people are treated, and just how little they think of you or anything you have ever done. You too, can be discarded with the same amount of compassion and consideration as we are witnessing now.

How are they going to do that? She resigned day after Jim left. I wonder if it would be worth dropping a dime to DeSantis? Probably not, but it would be worth letting the Governors office know of the shenanigans that go one at this place. Bob's luster has worn off since he bungled the Margaret-Stoneman commission. The utter bullshit that goes on around here is amazing and the fact creepy old Dan, spineless George and Nutless Sean all need to come down a peg or twenty.

Sure complain to the “accountability” Governor that the Sheirff is holding people accountable and treating deputies like any other citizen would be treated. See how that complaint flies. May be in your fantasy land of make believe the investigation was bungled but not in anyone else’s. Media seems to be pretty positive about the outcome. Seem like the Sherriff is in pretty good spot these days. ButI guess when you are a troll the world is always bleak and dark and hateful.
