    Agency Info

    Currently going through the process but had a couple questions regarding the position if someone could clarify for me. Is the mileage requirement air miles or road miles. Is that rule enforced? The standard issue firearm is Glock but is it a new or refurbished G22 or G23? Any information appreciated. Happy Holidays!

    It is air miles and it is enforced. You get your choice of a 22, 23 or 27. I don't think there are any new guns left. Expect a previously issued Glock.

    Okay that's what I figured. Now shotguns are issued but not rifles. Is that correct?

    Shotguns are issued upon request. Remington 870P. You can carry your personal 22,23 or 27 if you like.

    Rifles are not issued or approved. When the AR 15 pistol became a thing, many thought they would go that route. That didn't work. A rifle and shotgun rack in a Ford Fusion would look silly anyway.
