Cars Running is Bob’s Failt
PCSO had a pursuit policy that allowed for pursuits involving felonies. And oddly enough very few people fled in cars. When they did we had the same options to use. And pursuits were monitored by supervisors. They evaluated if the deputy was in control, speeds, area, time and the charge. They had the power to cancel it if need be. Deputies were experienced in pursuits and knew to end them quickly. The pursuit policy was easy to understand too.
Enter Bob. The pursuit policy is so complicated they needed to make a laminated flow chart to help deputies understand it. Seriously, a flow chart. This policy goes on and on to the point no deputy could understand it all. And this policy is more restrictive. We let most fleeing cars go. And criminals know this. So now we have more people run from us than ever before. That’s what Bob’s policy did.
We have also had more deputies suspended for policy violations during pursuits then ever before. And usually it’s not because they are legitimately pursuing someone. Usually they are just out of bounds. And then they get forty hours off, plus or minus depending on Bob’s mood that day through EBD. But funny thing. Bob doesn’t want us just to cut loose every car that runs. That annoys him. But your policy clearly creates that atomosphere.
Bob has no faith in supervisors to make judgement calls on pursuits themselves. Bob really doesn’t trust anyone to make the right call, that’s been the way of things since he got here. Bob has de-nutted this agency. Except for VCTF, they can do whatever they want. Except for the black deputy apparently, they didn’t let him slide at all. 🤔

So give Gulatieri what he wants - don't pursue anyone, that way you don't fall victim to one of his tantrums, don't get time off and don't endanger your career. We are pushed into this corner until we get a sheriff who backs us up.

You sound like a juvenile whose Mom told him no more lollipops. You say we get suspended because they we are not legitimately pursuing anyone and you are complaining about that? Do enlighten us on that complaint? The policy is too hard to understand? Have you read it? Seems simple to me. Don’t pursue unless the driving is REALLY bad or its a felony that we pursue for and that’s not Sg10. What more you need to know? Stop whining. You want to play chase for tint and put people in danger and Dad said no so you’re pissed. Whatever.

You can only chase if it is a violent felony. The deputy or supervisor and cancelled pursuit if too dangerous. Your best bet, stop the chase and make a u-turn. It ain’t worth 40 hours off. If the citizens don’t like it, vote bob out at election time, because elections have consequences.

Funny how you deputies take it so personally. It's not that you give a damn about the stolen car. Hell, one of your own smashed into a guys car twice and flipped it over because he wasn't wearing his seat belt. So obviously you don't care about other people's property. You just can't stand the fact that somebody had the audacity to tell you to **** off. That is what kills you chase lovers. You don't get to chase that ******* down and teach him a lesson. It's all about egos and PCSO has far too many of them pretending to be cops. If you actually cared about real crime, then why do 70% of the crimes reported to the PCSO go unsolved? You don't even try to solve most of them. Take a report, move on to the next. But heaven forbid someone not wear their seat belt Go damn it.

Soooo you post a reply to gives James a taste of his own medicine and the mod immediately deletes it. James can dish it out but can’t take it, showing once again what a little coward he is.
