Lol- the Only thing we have in common with REAL cops are 'badges and guns'. Cant even make our own decision to arrest someone for other than alcohol and tobacco violations. Legal to scarred to let you enforce laws. That's why the REAL law enforcement agencies consider us lower than auxiliary cops. Basically like retirees...oh, and you want a piece of paper for getting paid 1.5 time for standing at a gate, guarding a truck or gas pump, after the storm passed. How much volunteer hours did you do for the poor souls that stood the storm or how much money did you contribute to homeless or how many people did you house after the storm to give them a place to stay. That's a real COP for ya. Lol please don't tell people what kind of policing we do, just let me ride this gravy train out...

Panama office is full of real cops. Tally too. They were on the road checking on people within a couple hours of landfall. There was no cell service and no power but they were able to reach everyone in the impact zone. They bought with their own money tarps and gas for those that couldn't get out. They cut trees out of the way, cleared driveways so people could get out, got generators running, nailed down plywood where roofs once were and anything else that could be done. I know for a fact they looked out for those that needed help. And did it without reward or hope of one. One employee suffered a total loss of home, four had major damage that made their homes uninhabitable. They gathered parts to make repairs, delivered tarps, mre's, gas and anything else that was needed. And guess what? At least one employee did laundry for those deployed, traveled 90 miles to the nearest open Walmart to buy towels and sheets and blankets, recharged cell batteries, delivered flats to the shop for repair, whatever needed to be done to include buying oil for chainsaws. Sad thing is there are still people coping with the aftermath while still coming to work and doing a great job. The panhandle crew stepped up and over the chaos to help their neighbors 12-16 hours a day while their homes and lives were in shambles. I saw an email the other day asking for outstanding employees to be recognized by the department. Want to bet that there will be many less deserving accolades given to many less deserving employees? The only award given my DBPR should be in recognition of heroes not someone that created a new spreadsheet or saved the agency a couple bucks by figuring out too many paper towels were being used in the break room, or made a case for shaking down war heroes at the club. Frustrated much?

I was considering applying with ABT after retiring from a PD here in Palm Beach County. It’s appalling to see how you people stab each other in the back and gossip and bicker on here. I think I’ll pass on your agency for now.

Well played my friend. Maybe they can squeeze in a little time to do real meaningful work. What would you suggest? Video poker at the VFW? Maybe vendor to vendor? I know, how about a search warrant for fake cd's? Maybe you can help with the ops plan. You may just be ignorant so I will extend you the courtesy of not knowing any better.

No brotherhood in Tally, Pensacola or Panama City Beach office. Rest assure thats a fact. I came up to the panhandle to help out on the storm, never put one hour of overtime request in AND I made it to the captains funeral which no one from the panhandle offices showed up but Tallahassee administration. Please don't blame that on the storm too HEROES. Simply no brotherhood.

You may be the saddest of the sad. Respect, even in death is not automatic. Those that didn't attend didn't use the deployment as an excuse. You did. To be a member of a "brotherhood" as you say, means you are a brother. Having the same employer doesn't make it so. I have reached the conclusion that many are just too stupid to argue with. I am done with this and you.

Heroes? Not at ABT, maybe dramakings. And drove 90 miles to the nearest open Walmart? Why didn't they just pull in to Defuniak Springs Walmart? That store never closed. Remember, ABT agents aren't the only people reading LEO Affairs. Lol!
Please Please, stroke my ego on LEO Affairs.

Best for you and us. There are only five posters here. Nothing here is serious to us.
