    Stop working OD

This department needs to come together in total solidarity. After the holidays all current sworn personnel should stop working off duty jobs. We should join together and send a strong message to the City of Tampa and the administration. Let's get the off duty rate changed to $50.00 an hour. The city is making a killing off of our hard work. They take $7.00 an hour for what? Jobs don't to get filled now. Wait to everyone stops working them. Let's send a strong message.

The PBA is too scared to tell the membership to stop working off duty. So let's give it a try for one pay cycle. Do not sign up for any off-duty jobs for the first pay cycle in 2019.

This is not a work strike but for everyone to take a breather and spend more time with your family and friends. Continue to provide excellent service to the citizens of Tampa during your regular shift.

    Any comments are appreciated.

That is a nice try, good one as you sign up for all those jobs that get unfilled.

I agree we need to increase the off duty rate, especiallly for large sporting or special events. Pulling people of patrol, calling other agencies, etc and they still can fill these jobs. There is no reason why our pay can’t match other big cities in the state. Orlando and Miami are making over $10 an hour more than us for these special events.

I just looked at the City of Tampa City Council upcoming agenda until February 2019. There is nothing about raising the OD rate to $55.00 an hour.

sure....go ahead.....All it will do is cause places to cancel their jobs and they will then call the county take care of their OD. An OD job is an OD job.....dont get dependent on it and it won't be an issue

Not something that city council will vote on. Mayor will say yes or no or change the amount. Time will tell. And who cares if they cancel od jobs. Tonight alone there are 25 jobs unfilled
