So true. I don't think other agencies have to put out a log of activity and everything they did the entire day and the stats produced to justify their job. They pass a long important Bolos. This place is very micromanaged. Police work is what it is on a day to day basis and very important to this University community whether a stat sheet is put out on a daily and nightly basis.

Welcome to USF PD and what you will be expected to do as an officer here your entire career. Smoke and mirrors, and the stats will be required, especially on a short shift and what you were doing. It all depends on the next complaint from the university community and emails sent out from the Capt. of were you need to be and "be more visible." It will change almost daily, You will never get it right.

Who's fault is all of this negativity and low morale among the people coming to work here everyday in their career? What is wrong with this place? It's a great job and career to work as an officer, but it just isn't due to the Admin. that is running the department. A good Police department needs an Admin. that is above the pettiness and works to make a good environment for officers to work in, enjoy, and want to come to work everyday and be positive about their career. If something is wrong, a good Admin. will work to fix it, not try to mess with the officers and micromanage. It should not a place to go to work everyday and wonder what's going on and who is out to get who for something on the job on a daily basis. The morale here is at an all time low. It's not that hard.

Not much going on there, half of the department is sitting in an office job and have to justify their position, so they hold investigations on the officers that are actually out and working and doing the job.
