What in the world is going on in the Sheriff’s Department PA office?? JD fired and escorted out of the building, AG resigned over hostile work environment! Only one left in the office with the Lil Colonel wannabe DA Jr. who has run that Office into the ground and is out for no one but himself! Everyone is sick of his self promoting HCSO social media selfies and videos!!! The media is aware of it and have grown very tired of his behavior and hostile working relationships. CC you better wake up, he’ll be coming for your job next!

Its all falling apart. Just wait. Just wait another 5 or 10 years. All these people flooding in from out of state. Mostly dirt bag non contributors. How often do you deal with anyone with an 813 area code or anyone that has grown up here. 90% of my patrol shift consists of dealing with city type morons with no jobs that just moved here. TPD been dealing with real bad guys and real problems for a very long time. Now Tampa trash has been spilling over onto non incorporated Hillsborough and this agency cant keep up. Better yet. Does not know what to do about it. Do you think you will ever see hillsborough on the news for what Polk just did? Over 100 arrests sting on prostitutes and johns. Not here. We have what? One detective dealing with prostitution? While our command was too busy promoting each other, chasing rank creating districts, creating more colonel and supervisor positions, the streets and moral has eroded. Criminals have no respect for us. Why do you think city bad guys come tothe county to commit strings of burglaries. Deputies have been quitting. Turnover is off the charts. Nice job.

The new focus of this “Public Affairs Office” is to promote the agency through social media. They’ve become an in-house marketing and news service intended to compete with and not work with private news outlets. If you study world affairs, you know how much worse government-run media is than private media. No one wants to call it propaganda but that’s exactly what it is.

I was told that the turnover is because “the man in charge” runs the office like a “tyrant.” Not my words. Apparently the new hires weren’t allowed to do their jobs independently and weren’t happy with the way things were going. But just to play devil’s advocate... it could very well be that the new hires were lazy and were expected to work. There obviously wasn’t much of that going on... not since DC and LM retired. Whatever the case may be, that office is a train wreck and the command staff is oblivious.

Or maybe they like it this way. Even worse.
