So, North District deputies make contact with an idiot at Loves which results in said idiot battering a deputy. They arrest him, take him to the hospital for medical clearance in which the hospital decides to admit said idiot. Somehow in our infamous wisdom we decide to leave said idiot and tell the hospital to call us when he is being released. Said idiot escapes the hospital where FMPD is notified. FMPD finds idiot with idiot battering two FMPD officers before finally being taken into custody. Gonna be interesting to see if this goes to IA. A Sgt. stops a guy for doing well over a 100 miles an hour and gets demoted and sent to corrections. What the hell they gonna with this. Looks like corrections is gonna have a few more coming. Bahaha

They keep going like this, they are gonna fix the overtime problem in corrections that's for sure. Who ever did this is going under the jail, not in it..LOL

From what I understand, FMPD called the Sheriff and was not happy, even making a formal complaint. Wonder what over promoted Watch Commander it was that made the call to leave him at the Hospital. Something tells me we will never know as it is probably a buddy of someone up top.

Its all on the WC, once you arrest someone he is yours 24/7 untill he is transported to the jail. If he would have attacked a nurse she would be rich, as the County would have to be BIG time.

I don't get it, every where Shelly goes he creates havoc, makes bad decisions with no one able to work with the dude. (especially if your a girl) Here you go again, he's a watch commander for two months and steps in it big time. Tells them to leave this guy at the hospital. Really!!! Because he's buddy buddy with certain people, nothing happens. Come on Sheriff!!!!

It's crazy that Joe Barley was fired for something similar but far less minor. That prisoner was a misdemeanor case with a non violent prisoner. This case was a violent suspect who had fought with LEOs. Shelly should be fired. He should also be charged criminally for allowing this dangerous felon to batter an officer while putting students in danger.

Barley fired, even after he won his civil service. Karlsen demoted and sent to corrections for, well, I'm not sure why. Meanwhile our Sheriff is running around like a celebrity visiting a control tower and watching planes land and take off. Just shows how inept the administration is. They wing it day to day and are clueless. Everyday the Sheriff is Sheriff, you get to see more and more he has no clue. Keep up the good work guys, your making it so easy for 2020. Just when you thought you've seen it all.
