    Retirements and Promotions

When are these old geezers going to retire and move out of the way so younger people can get promoted around here. There is too much dead wood taking up brass positions. Bob needs to step it up and encourage the geriatrics to take their money and retire so that the next generation can move in. He is always complaining that there aren't enough experienced people to take over some day. Of course, how can anyone get experience when all the good spots are taken up by the grandpas? Either the old geezers retire or the younger generation will start to bail out, then Bob has to train even younger people for the brass jobs. C'mon Bob, get with the program.

The only thing that's dead is the millennial generation which is comprised of a bunch of no life experience ass holes that want something for nothing. Maybe we should start you out at major or better yet assistant chief because you have a degree in criminal justice. Go bail out and watch more geezers come back. Now shut up and get to work you ****ing cry baby.

You must be one of the dementia DROPers because the message hit home. Talk about lazy, worthless has-beens who forgot how to properly unholster a gun and don't know how to use handcuffs. Office queens who's main risk of injury is spilling hot coffee on themselves or a paper cut. Or spraining their necks checking out some of the middle age office tail parading around SAB, which they can't handle. Legends in their own minds who don't even take the annual PAT and firearms qualifications because they are too fat and out of shape, and they can't shoot good enough to pass. At least have the decency to retire before you further embarrass yourselves and the agency, you greedy old f***s.

You must be one of those real tough guys with a bunch of tattoos and tight shirts walking around like your Billy's badass. I'm sure you need to be acknowledged or you get your feelings hurt. The only thing you can handle is a blow up doll. Now get back to those mean streets of Maderia Beach and write some parking tickets. FYI, I'll out shoot you and pin your sorry ass on the mat in less than 30 seconds.

Your old azz can't fight your way out of a wet paper bag, much less pass the PAT. Take the dead wood captains, majors and assistant chief deputies with you to the assisted living facility in Sun City Center or The Villages. There you can play shuffleboard and golf, and drink beer to your heart's content because that's all you are good for right now. You can BS about war stories you heard from others but never experienced yourselves because you were too buys shuffling papers and meetings, kissing the sheriff's butt. At least have some dignity at the end of your careers (loosely speaking) and retire so corporals. sergeants and some lieutenants who are working hard to get ahead can get promoted.

Hey Newbie, even if the old timers retired early, it doesn’t mean you young guys are getting promoted. Family, friends and the connected get promoted first. The left overs are for you guys. Good luck in your 30-35 year career. It’s going to be a long one, if you and your friends even make it. Chances are that you won’t make 30 years and retire from here.

Which proves the point that more of the old greedy geezers should retire because the promotional spots are limited by the nepotism and politics in this agency. If you don't make sergeant in under 10 years or lieutenant in under 15 years you have peaked and will get passed over when it is time for promotions. Nobody wants to be here 30 years so you have to get paid while the getting is good. It's all about the Benjamins.

It’s called work ethic, newbie. When you get married and have kids and put kids into college, you will be forced to work your 30-35 years for a good pension. Most of you new guys don’t have the work ethic to last long here, ten years top.
