3 Department of Corrections Officers Arrested, Accused of Smuggling Cash
http://www.baynews9.com/fl/tampa/new...smuggling-cash
With pay this low and the hiring of the bottom feeders because they are the only ones taking the jobs, get ready to see a lot more of these cases. It's easy for the inmates to manipulate weak-minded, inexperienced and low paid staff into contraband smuggling for a few extra bucks. This sort of thing is common in banana republics with low paid prison staff.

Read the article, Sheriff Judd gets it. If you pay peanuts you're going to get monkeys. Two of these clowns were still trainees and they are already corrupt. On the probation side its just as bad with turnover, as soon as new officers come to work they are looking on how to leave because half of their monthly pay goes to rent. Its insanity and Tallahassee does nothing. Where is the secretary? Probably hiding under desk.

In many Latin American and South American countries prison staff sell contraband to make extra money because the pay is low. Politicians and prison management look the other way because they don't want to pay more money. Maybe that is the direction DOC is going to retain staff.
