He will except vouluntary demotions from the brass and termination or suspensions for the deputies. One is documented the other not.

That's also why Bob set up the retire/G4s/Rehire scam too. So that neither of these idiots would be electable once the people of Pinellas County found out how they double dipped and became millionaires by being a cop. Taxpayers don't like fraud, especially when it is done by cops wanting to be sheriff.

The last 2 jailer academies lost most of the graduates to Hillsborough County Jail. HCJ even paid the $2,000 cost of their academy fees and offers higher pay. Probably gave them a signing bonus too. PCJ has a bad reputation and pays less so even the rookies are starting to avoid it. Might as well make the most money you can if you have to work in a lousy work environment. They are so desperate for bodies the 46 hour max. OT rule was thrown out; now they can work as many hours as they want and burn themselves out. The Colonel took off leaving the staffing shortage cluster-f on Major Danzig's lap. Bob could care less because it's the jail and he's a patrol fanboy.
