- SSO hires recruits and sends them to patrol FTO to learn.
- SCSPD hired a recruit and sent him to SRO FTO to learn.
- SSO hired Kurt Hoffman as a civilian lawyer and then the sheriff promoted him to colonel to be in charge of the agency.
What's the problem? However, since you believe you know how to to "best run an agency, " why don't you become a chief or a sheriff and then show us how to do things right? LOL

1.) Potential candidates don’t get hired who fail their polygraph law enforcement is dependent upon integrity
2.) Recruits that successfully pass Field Training go straight to patrol
3.) During their time on patrol they learn what it entails to be a cop (not a desk jockey, armchair QB)
4.) They develop first hand knowledge of the stressors and intricacies of patrol
5.) If you believe your argument has merit, send Hoffa to patrol and see if he can pass FT.
6.) there’s a reason why this country believed in the separation of powers and therefore has 3 branches of Gov’t
7.) so if Hoffa wants more power, send him to the ASO where lawyers belong, he is a disgrace to the uniform
