Courthouse
Another s%&t show at the Courthouse. Screw seniority. Got several Supervisors (poof Im a LEO) trying to reinvent the wheel. TK can you spell LIABILITY??? These people can't find their way out of paper bag nevermind make a law enforcement decision. Oh and that's when they aren't hiding in their office!! How about putting people in there that know a little something about being a cop? We need to replace Inegrity, Respect, Service and Fairness with Dishonor, Deceitfulness, Stupidity and Favoritism.

Yep. It's a shame but remember that TK and KH were never really cops either. One was a glorified meter maid and the other a lawyer that played cop (when he wasn't stealing gas from the sheriff).
It's truly a shame that these two bozos destroyed the moral of the court services bureau (and the entire agency but this thread is about the courthouse) when they changed the pay scale. Former road deputies will not take that big of a pay cut so you'll get nothing but wannabes and or kids right out of the academy to become bailiffs. Then they further the screws the few remaining former road deputies by giving take home cars (fully marked and unmarked) to people that have no f'ing clue what to do if flagged down or come upon a crash, not to mention an in-progress call that they may be a block or 2 away from.
It won't be long before the Sarasota courthouse will be in the national news for a major incident.

Courthouse
I guess there will soon be a mass exodus of millennials from the bailiff ranks to fill the openings on the road since it’s so “bad” in the courthouse. I couldn’t imagine working an entire career there, never making much more than 60k. At least they only work banker’s hours.

You are correct. The courthouse used to be a place where the guys on the road who are getting older could wind down their career. They lost no money, only the take home car. The veterans didn't mind losing the car because most of them didn't use them off duty anyway due to complaints from citizens or having to stop when junior used his last $10 to buy some weed instead of putting gas in daddy's car then runs out of gas in the middle of Bee Ridge Road. Other than some correction officers that had no experience working in police work, most of the bailiffs were retired LEO's from elsewhere (SPD, NYPD, Michigan)etc or 15-20 year veterans of our agency. The knoghtmare decides to screw the court deputies by promoting every deputy except court deputies, even those that had been on the road at our agency. That basically stopped guys from the road switching over from patrol. Now the knightmare and his cronies are bringing in non law enforcement experienced personnel to fill those spots. To make matters worse, the bozos running this dis-organization start putting sergeants and lieutenants with absolutely no road experience, only jail, in charge at the courthouse and give them take home cars. WTF is the logic in that. First they stopped allowing the non-road patrol deputies from using marked vehicles assigned to sergeants to make lunch runs. Then in their infinite wisdom they stopped the former road patrol guys from using the sergeant's car for lunch runs. Now they give people a take home car who have shown their stupidity by locking their weapon in the courthouse and driving that fully marked car unarmed. When a crash came out and an unqualified person in marked car realized that they were nearby, they drove down side street(s) to avoid having to handle the situation. Meanwhile the former road guys who would drive armed and be prepared to handle any call they might be in the area of are denied cars. What a F'ed up place we are at

Op must have little man syndrome. Trying to justify LEO to Corrections for supervisors who work at the courthouse. Just make sure no one with shorts enters your courtroom. Stay awake and occasionally tell someone to be quite.

court house Lt is a racist
The Lt in the court house is a racist . She has no clue on what she is doing . The 2 sgts that came from the jail are worthless. People are there from other agencies are also worthless . Terrible place to work . It’s embarrassing.

Planet of the apes = knightmare
How can the courthouse lieutenant be a racist when, in fact, she is BLACK? Here are three bigger pragmatic issues:
- Knight placed a correctional officer in direct supervision over law enforcement officers. That’s odd and it’s unprecedented. It only happens here. Check out the rest of the United States.
. - Knight lowered the pay of bailiffs. That should answer many of your questions. In Knight’s pay scale, people of lower value get paid less.
. - When Knight placed correctional officers in charge of law enforcement officers, while concurrently lowering pay for law enforcement bailiffs, personnel problems exploded. That’s why HR issues are now being “manifested” in court services.
- Knight placed a correctional officer in direct supervision over law enforcement officers. That’s odd and it’s unprecedented. It only happens here. Check out the rest of the United States.
