New pba contract hoses everyone except longevity employees.
Holy crap. A 1% cola over three years?
Only persons that get any raises are those who are longevity in their classification. This screws everyone who gets promoted before being a longevity 3 employee.
The only good thing about this contract is the off duty pay rate raise.
New employees got hosed on insurance again.

The off duty rate is being paid by the 3rd party. This is a win for both the county and the person working it. I see what they did here at no cost to the County. This isn’t a huge accomplishment as every other agency has had higher rates. As said not everyone works off-duty.

Exactly their intent. Because we are a relatively younger department the county won’t have to ante up for a while. Kicking the can down the road for someone else to deal with

You’re being sarcastic about that allowance increase, right? It’s an extra $90 a year, lol.
