Two Lee County Sheriff's Office deputies have been fired for separate incidents.

Deputy Randolph Crider, who joined the sheriff's office in 2004, was fired Sept. 27 after he was found to have violated sheriff's office policy on domestic violence.

An altercation with his son in July that led to Crider placing his hands around his son's neck led to an investigation and his firing.

An investigation of the altercation resulted in a finding of unlawful conduct and improper conduct by Crider.

Deputy Juan Rosado, who joined the sheriff's office in 2017, was fired Oct. 11 after he was found to have violated sheriff's office operations manual dealing with evidence.

Allegations against Rosado included timely processing of evidence. An examination of his assigned vehicle found marijuana packaged in glass jars, a marijuana grinder, five Florida license plates and 11 government issued identification cards.

Rosado told investigators that he had been involved in two encounters that led to him recovering the drugs and that he had held on to the items for three to six weeks. He also confirmed the license plates and identification cards came from arrests or lawful encounters that called for him to seize the items.

Testing of Rosado found no evidence of illegal drug use and the investigation found there was no evidence that Rosado intended to profit by holding the drugs.
