Well Sheriff
Are you going to address the DLD post? Seems the school board and sheriff's office need to answer up. If you condone this, or would accept the same, just remain silent as you have Sheriff. Ask your own IT department... Many civilians have been frequenting this forum, not commenting but reviewing comments... I'll say again, the only threat I pose is exposing and documenting facts. I do not like child predators or looking the other way concerning the issue... Did Ben leave this mess? Or was this done on your watch? It's not a question, but a suggestion that you confront all issues, like a Sheriff "for the people" would. You lied and played tough Mike from Philly. But now you enact policies counterproductive of what you were elected for, unbeknownst to the community. PERF was not even public and you already employed new policies. Guardians instead of Warriors? Are you even serious! Look at all the murders occurring... Violent crime is on the rise and you call Compstat the answer? Hotel/Motel rule logic! Self promotion specialist decieving the voters who trusted you. Dishonestly reporting crime. Not disclosing your true motive when campaigning for sheriff. Sanctuary cities and PERF, waisting $92,321! It is my goal to see a productive team player sitting at your desk in 2020. Anyone but Chitwood will do! And it's only obvious that your aiming high in politics, so let this be your friendly reminder: I do not care if you were a candidate for attorney general, I will publically oppose any position you seek. And if your opponent needs help, I've got it. Retribution

Waisting? You mean wasting? You do realize those funds were not tax payer dollars right? Though I don’t agree with cost of the study, those are the facts. You must also realize this is not the sheriffs office forum. It’s not the place to bring forward a criminal complaint. So if anyone had information about a crime and refused to bring forward a victim or witnesses then shame on them. Retribution for what? What did anybody do to you to make you so bitter? You’re ranting is emotional and therefore not credible. Great facts.

Wasting? You mean waisting? Though I don’t agree with the cost of the study, it wasn’t paid for by taxpayers. As far as David Davis goes, I hope you know this forum is not affiliated with the sheriffs office at all. If someone had credible information and failed to bring it to investigators then shame on them. Nobody can investigate unsubstantiated vague claims.

While it wasn’t tax dollars, it most certainly was our money. And I agree that the study was a total waste of money. It didn’t provide any insights, analysis or useful information regarding prior deputy-involved shootings beyond what’s already publicly available in the police reports. Beyond that, the study simply regurgitated PERF’s well-known advocacy for de-escalation tactics. Now I’m not saying that de-escalation is a bad thing. But what value did we get out of that study for our $92,000? Seems like the money could have been put to much better use than the commissioning of a study that does nothing other than reinforce Chitwood’s philosophy of de-escalation. Doesn't strike me as good leadership or a good use of confiscated funds.
