    Hurricane

Any word on how our panhandle agents are doing? Any word on if we are going to help. Every other state agency has huge amounts of people already there or heading there and we haven’t gotten one email. Anyone?????

You folks going to drive out there and check the VFWs or something? They do not need ATB in the way.

It left on the truck with Mikie. DG is in way over his head. The SRT list had last years info on it. As usual no follow up by the majors or chiefs. SRT couldn’t be found not all the product the current chief said would b there back in April

More importantly how about a status update on our people living in the area. Did they come out of this ok or do we need to start sending them supplies to get back in their feet.

Give it time. This struck on a magnitude that many of you will never understand and giving you updates is the last thing anyone from that area is concerned with. Yes, our people have some damage but they are alive and with their families. They are all accounted for and have been contacted many times. Try giving them a call but in the PCB area Verizon is completely out and it is spotty in the rest of the area.

Coming on here because you think you are not being utilized or kept informed with spread sheets is not helping anyone. Most important pray for them and be ready because everyone will be deployed at some time for this one. It will be a LONG recovery!

I would agree initially with you however now after hearing about the conditions our agents again are enduring deployed I can’t help but now submit that the current senior administration including the chief who was told about the Irma conditions are completely useless. Once again we as an agency were completely caught in disarray trying to show we can assist in natural disasters. There was no early preparedness or supplies available as the Chief promised would be ready in April. Why can’t we have arranged for sleeping quarters generators and mess tents like fire marshall fdle FWC?? Senior management wonders why people were hesitant to volunteer. The initial SRT list sent out was last years. Nothing new on it except the flaws of who were on it and retired or left the agency. Every January our radio numbers change but not on this list.

I implore the Chief to seriously consider why under his watch we again look like we have no idea what we are doing. Where is the leadership??

To the volunteers who went in harms way and took care of yourselves I applaud you. Maybe the chief and senior leadership will learn from you as to what it is for action and not simple words on just a note crap.

Again not to harp on it but it’s because our leadership is too worried about lunch breaks, DAS hourly entries, and using your vehicle for 2 miles past your house; SRT and hurricanes mean nothing to them. Just make sure your indicating your 30 minute lunch break on hurricane detail.
