Well, to the math. Depending on where you stand in the list, if this contract is turned down, the city will cry poor and a contract will be imposed for maybe a year. They will be forced to disclose their hefty budget and gives us what we deserve. Meanwhile this list is frozen and DOJ will mandate that promotions are made to fill Sgt and lieutenant vacancies per DOJ agreement. The City will have to prove that there is no money to give us a raise and provide a new promotional exam. Guys we have the City by their scrotum sack. We have never ever been in such great position when bargaining. They are forced to give us what we want. Regalado left Suarez with a headache because of his malice towards the police department. We need to stay strong and vote NO. This is our future for the young ones and even the ones about to leave. They have to come clean and fair. The money owed to the elder ones will never happen. They want to close this contract chapter so they can move forward and whats owed will be a thing of the past. They have never proposed a contract on a timely manner. NEVER!! ask around, we have never gotten our raises per a contract on OCTOBER. Its always later in the year with perhaps retro. They are sweating and begging for us to vote yes and agree on contract. These attorneys get paid more by the opposite party under the table in order to sell us what they want and need. Lets risk it and vote NO. Believe us, the City needs its bond rating in order to qualify for more riches from investors and government grants. No one wants to live in a city where the city is in feud with its police department and fire. 800, 700, 600 STRONG!!!!!

Voting NO. People wanting the rule of 64 are not going anywhere. Once they are told that they can leave but with a 70% they will stay. 64 rule is crap and 95% of the people here will work at least 25 years. So who cares about the 64 crap. This is a front to confused people. As the 120 K. No officer will make it to 120K. For starters you have to work 33 years to get 100%. So how’s the rule of 64 going to help you?

I been here 17 years. I never heard of a officer retiring with 120k pension. Always between $70-90k barely with years of service . County 120k is easy. My wife works their.

The city doesn’t HAVE to do anything. They can tell us to kiss there ass and get to work; and we will. We have no protest rights so they know there is nothing we can do. Stop feeling entitled. If you don’t like how the city operates then quit and go to another department. It’s a privilege to work, not a right. Liberal turds

I refuse to be a puppet like you. Move to Cuba or Venezuela if you want to be a goat.
