That’s what pisses me off about the YouTube video The Sheriff made.
He could of sent a internal email to the Deputies and expressed himself about the tragedy.
The Office goes from years of having a Dufus that never does media, to this Hollywood showboat.

    Police Officer Mental Health Maintenance

EAP should not be reactive. Everything this agency does when it comes to core police work and caring for the mental health of its deputies is always reactive. Care for our mental health should start from day one of this job. Starting with our zone partners, corporals, and up! When was the last time you seen your zone partner? When was the last time your supervisors were not coming from a place of fear and CYA? When was the last time you could come in to work a little sick and take it easy because we COULD cover for each other? Remember when your sgt would tell you to take it slow and the squad would look out for you when you were sick or going through hard times? How about now? With half staffed squads and good supervisors inundated with administrative, political, and knee jerk BS from the disconnected brass. Can you imagine working while sick or in crisis in a zone alone, missing lunch, and going home late due to dealing with late domestics, late crashes, late shoplifts, and arresting assholes one hour after you should have gone home? 14 hour shifts in crisis because there is no longer a mid shift?

Where you are assigned to and who you are assigned to directly determines if you can handle a crisis. Would you prefer to be in EAP while going through a divorce or death in the family while on a half staffed squad with a heartless boss? Or NO EAP while working in a full squad with zone partners you know and a caring boss. Makes ALL the difference in the world. I seen garbage supervisors push deputies in crisis to resign. I seen great supervisors help and guide deputies through crisis.

IN THIS LINE OF WORK, “EAP” SHOULD BE ONGOING. Deputies should not be mentally pushed to their limits at work. Otherwise there will be nothing left for when something big at home happens. We waste our emotional resources on the garbage of humanity and there is nothing left for us. And noone there to understand. When bad things happen to us or we make mistakes due to stress, we are thrown away and used as fodder for the vampires that are the media. We need intelligent, humble, caring leaders that come from a place of confidence to lead us. Not narcissistic political bureaucrats.

If they start with fixing this issue. EVERYTHING else will fall into place. Care for us and we will care for the people.

A cute video and memo referring us to EAP, made to reduce their liability, is not going to cut it. It should be the main focus of every decision made. Right down to the mission statement and core values.

    Employee Support

For those of you who have "NEVER" used or witnessed E.S.P. your point is not well taken . I have used this process that Sheriff Chad speaks of and it is worthless . It may work if your one of the chosen ones but can lead to more trouble than its worth for lower level employees . TALK TO SOMEONE THAT HAS USED IT OR WITNESSED IT !!! . Not some "PET' of the H.C.S.O.that believes the office can do "NO" wrong .

They might not come here for advice, but they sure as shit come here more than The Sheriff’s stupid YouTube channel. Over 800 views here in less than a day compared to 200 views on
The Sheriff’s channel. And He has a pathetic 8000 subscribers. Sad. 😂😂😂
And at least you can comment on the video here as opposed to his channel.
Which brings up the question. Why does he disable comments on his channel?

What Do You Really Expect From The "GOLDEN BOY CHAD" ? Everyone knows that if it wasnt for him "hooking- up " with the DeBartolo,s daughter (billion air) nobody would even know him .Do you really think he was donating his own measly salary to the polititions and charities ? It is easy to be generous with others money !!!

You must be one of the 2ND year sergeants or "off the street" command staff to make such a comment !!!
