It is a known fact that it wasn't the members of our agency who voted you into office. It was the citizens of this county. They admired the man they saw on TV with the fulgent face and the perpetual smile. Some even claimed to have your personal phone number and that they could call you anytime. The citizens of this county should have taken the time and speak directly to the members of this agency and then come to their own conclusions. It's the members of this agency who know who you really are. Little did the citizens know that the person they saw on TV with the fulgent face and perpetual smile was a person who was inequitable and insensitive. Throughout your tenure you have caused many of your good people, including civilian personnel, to retire or move on to other agencies due to your failure to connect, lead and to supervise. From the beginning you were a great guy, but as time went on you became aloof. You eventually morphed into a hardcore politician who operated from a special playbook. Instead of demoting or terminating people when they screwed up you promoted them and placed them in positions they knew nothing about. Member hopefuls would also receive written responses with statements were obviously taken verbatim from the Rand Institute and the Harvard Business Review with your personal signature due to your lack of communication skills. Your reasons for leaving may not be totally believable, but nevertheless, it's a pleasure to know you are gone for good. So all we can say is good luck, good bye and good riddance. You will not be missed around here.
