We don’t waste your dues money
Happy With The PBA? If Not...IUPA is Your Alternative.
Folks IUPA would like to make you aware you have options when it comes to Union Representation. We recently negotiated for Volusia County Deputies the largest pay raise in their history of 21% over the next 3 years! We then negotiated for Saint Lucie County a 12% raise months later. We don't just make promises we deliver! In the past 18 months, IUPA has grown from 21 officers in the Volusia County area to almost 700 in total today! Our largest department down south is the Broward Sheriff’s Office Deputies Union, IUPA Local 6020. The BSO Union has experienced explosive growth due to the high quality of representation provided by IUPA! In addition, IUPA has resolved issues for the BSO Deputies that the PBA refused to address for years. We aggressively represent our members. We negotiate with attorneys at the table and at impact bargaining...we do not send reps or senior officers to negotiate contracts. That's an attorneys job!
We don’t waste your dues money on cigars, free lunches, free cars for PBA leadership or extravagant trips for PBA leadership and their entire families. We use your dues to represent and protect YOU! That’s what sets us apart from the PBA. They’ve taken you for granted for way too long.
WE WILL GET YOU A CONTRACTOR-PERIOD!!!

You hear that PBA?!?! Don't even think of bringing a BS contract with a 6% raise over the next three years!!! I think the PBA reign may be coming to an end.

Ok, open secret or i thought it was. The mayor has already told the unions that their will be zero (0) pay raises because they fear the voters will approve the extra homestead exemption in Nov.
What you can bargain for is non monetary gains more comp time (offer is raise the cap 150 hours), increase longevity step and other items. The unions all of them, the department directors all of them were told this months ago, they are just pretending their is some kind of process going on.
PBA should negotiate the body cams, new ones are being tested in the field now at MW that turn on automatically. negotiate better working conditions and non monetary items

Wow!!! I like it!! Instead of personal gain, its about the members!!No lunches or Ttips where they sight see & pay on our dues. No drinks for the entire bar (ladies that will end up on their rooms by petty cash at end of night) or fancy cars. Just US the members!!

More Empty Promises for the Sheeple
If you're thinking IUPA is any better then you must be the same fools who believed Stahled was better than Rivera. IUPA is not better. How many lobbyists do they have in Tallahassee fighting for meaningful legislation for Florida law enforcement? When was the last time IUPA got any legislation past that benefited Florida law enforcement officers? I was there with PBA when we got DROP passed.
Right now IUPA sees a fracture because you knuckleheads thought you knew better. So they are going to swoop in with a bunch of promises that sound to good to be true - because they are - and you'll wake up one day when it's too late and realize you've been conned (sound familiar?). They do this everywhere and usually end up losing the agency within a couple of years, but by then you've screwed your negotiation leverage with the city or county.
Bottom line is this: You sat back, failed to be engaged, and let everyone else do the work and then you questioned the manner in which it was conducted and now it has bit you in the behind and you don't like it. Stahled was not the answer. Jenkins is not the answer. And neither is IUPA. Take responsibility and just deal with it.
