    PBA negotiations

So perc came back and ruled with the city.....

That's what happens when you have a waiver.

There was a group of 20-25 cops that where hired after the referendum but before the first contract that was signed. They argued that they should fall under 22/80 group.

The main argument was there was no contract and per collective bargaining you automatically resort to the old one. My eyes at the pretty valid point and the city should pay. But heard there are certain pba reps that don't want to push for it...

Got a good question.... How the hell can we propose a two tier split but only have one rep in the second tier?

Or how can a certain female rep who was not voted into that position be still there? So JM can just pick alternates then just move them into permanent rep positions without any membership vote?

Shady ass PBA. Membership should demand voting new reps in now.

    Cry baby

Get over it. The city and the pba are in bed with each other and we are not getting back anything. Unless you were here in 2006 when we gave up our 185 monies, you have no right to the 22/80. So go F. yourself. 2 tier 3 tier 401k who cares. Apply somewhere and go cry somewhere else.

In bed with whom? Mel got out when the going was good, which is usual for him. The PD will have a tough time attracting good candidates unless benefits improve. You can already see the decline in quality over the last few years.

Wrong, mr don’t care. City knows they are stuck giving EVERY COP working the same pension from the 2009 contract. Your PBA reps are doing the city a favor and splitting into 2 tiers when they should be fighting for every cop here. You don’t believe the PBA lie that the city changed its mind cause of a CRA article do you? How about the PBA lie that you can vote for your reps? Oh and the other PBA lie that Julio Gonzalez won’t be representing Hollywood cops anymore. Politics are one thing, the way the reps lie to their brothers and sisters, just trash.

Sorry everyone, the PBA has been busy filling out fraudulent PERC cards at BSO. PERC caught the fraud and never had the vote. Can it be corruption? Lighthouse Point is about to leave. I guess everyone here is happy with the PBA though?

Hey don’t care? Wrong about having to been here in 2006 and gave up the 185 money to get 22/80. The city and PBA are in bed. The PBA is saving the city a ton of cash by going to a 2tier system. The city knows because of the rulings the ordinance is illagel and goes back to 2009. That means EVERY COP working is entitled to 22/80. PBA lying to everyone saying the city changed their tune cause of a CRA article? And what about the PBA lie that you can vote for reps. And the other PBA lie that Julio won’t be representing Hollywood cops? Politics is one thing, but the PBA reps lying to their brothers and sisters? They are just trash.

So wrong. You have been blinded by the stool the city and pba have been feeding you.

You deserve everything you get as long as you stay with the PBA. When will you guys wake up and realize your real enemy is the PBA. Why should the city offer more when the PBA is more than willing to sell you out? It’s called good business for the city
