Cuomo would have ripped Bob a new a-hole had he gone on that show. He would have exposed Bob for the moron he is. Bob knows he is overmatched (it ain't that hard) so he refused to appear on Cuomo's show and answer the tough questions. That's OK, the defense attorneys will put Bob on the stand about a year from now and ask him the same questions. Just in time for the 2020 elections.

Negative, the defense attorney in the criminal case will put Bob on the stand to testify why he did not make an arrest and why he thought there was no probable cause. Bob's testimony will be used to attempt to counteract the SA prosecutors and create doubt in the minds of the jury.

The civil case is another matter entirely. The lawsuit will be filled after/if Drejka is convicted. Bob will figure prominently in the lawsuit but they will go after the agency and the county because that's where the real cash is. Also in the lawsuit will be any agency who had dealings with Drejka but failed to take any action.

So if Bob takes the stand and does not use his administrative powers to discharge him from testifying and a judge signs off on a motion to compel then a defense attorney would call him to the stand,,, I don't think so. I would question why the SAO selected those two prosecutors to handle this case, I mean where's Bruce Bartlett or Bernie Mcabe himself. I would argue that they if given the chance would not hammer Bob during his Direct or his Cross testimony. This case needs to be tried somewhere else. The close relationship with Bob and his buddies at the SAO would undermine the prosecutors to do their job.
