Bob just man up and admit you missed the call and should have arrested the shooter. The public would respect you more if just admitted to your mistake instead of trying to cover it up with bs.

Drejka's arrest shouldn't surprise anyone but Bob. There was probable cause to arrest Drejka but Bob in his infinite stupidity decided against it. Anyone with half a brain who watched the video knows it was manslaughter because the attacker was retreating and no longer a threat when Drejka shot him. McCabe did the right thing to charge Drejka and instruct Bob to arrest him. Now Bob looks like the village idiot despite his law degree, which does not guarantee common sense and good judgment. It will be fun watching Bob's political career and reputation disintegrate of his own doing.

James, if this were the only thing you had to say people might think you are remotely intelligent. But all you “Police target blacks” bullshit just shows what a ****ing front loop you are. It’s old man, let it go!!!

Hurry up Bob and media shop a couple of attorneys, newspapers or news stations to support your decision. This way you can try and distant yourself quickly from this case. Better have those reports ready so attorneys can compare the SAO investigation from PCSO. I don't blame the CAP detectives but Bob didn't have to sign that affidavit. This to Bob and his support group that lurks on this site "you got it wrong" now apologize and go back to your holes. I can't wait for the trial to see if the defense calls Bob to the stand and then the prosecution gets to cross examine him. He will admin out and put all the pressure on the investigating detectives who should tell the defense they were forced to not arrest Drejka. Good luck Bob fans.

Has Bob learned his lesson? In the future, maybe it would be wise to say; we are thoroughly investigating the incident, and upon completion of the investigation, we will determine whether to make an arrest or refer the case to the SAO. There is no requirement to provide a detailed timeline of events and evidence to the media. It's foolish and unprofessional. The race to create the appearance of transparency, does nothing but hamper and impede justice for both the victim and defendant. Bob, if you wanted to present and prosecute cases, you should have gone to the SAO, Attorney General's Office, or US Attorney's Office. It will be interesting to watch Bob testify as Defense Witness #1 and describe why the video from the security camera is not an accurate depiction of the events, and the jury should trust Bob's description of the events and not their own eyes.

May be if your daddy Bernie and SAO brothers got the facts right then they too would have got the decision right. Trnsaparency is unprofessional and impedes justice. Ummmm. Interesting statement. Wonder how long that would work. Lock it all down and say nothing ever. The only lesson to be learned is that the SAO plays to the audience. Wasn’t there a case the Sheriff is being sued over where he did make the arrest and Bernie’s clowns dropped it like every other word that comes out of there mouth = NO FILE. Prop Bernie back up on the bar stool and wake him up when the show is over.

You speak in half truths and about two totally different cases. Law Enforcement agencies get sued all the time but most are found to have acted in good faith. I would challenge that the domestic violence case if investigators were not rushed to make an arrest they would have realized that the women in this case was a on going victim of domestic violence and had to stand her ground while being attacked by her husband. This is the best excuse you got. I'm curious when Coats appointed Bob to Sheriff was he and Bernie at Sneakys Bar tipping a few back and are now thinking what have we done. Oh prop Bob up at Beef-o- Briedys and wake him up when this is over and his career as the Sheriff is done.

A survey was conducted and 80 percent of the general population agrees with the state attorney filing charges. That same general population will be seated as the jury on this upcoming manslaughter trial and the shooter will be convicted of manslaughter. Once again the SAO got it right and BOB got it wrong.
