Fight it during election cycles or settle the lawsuit? Neither option is a good look and who will ultimately be the scapegoat? Delicious. Choices.....

Hope the lawsuit brings to light the scummy things going on in this office when it comes to ia investigations. This isnt the first time that a command staff member lied involving an ia case on multiple deputies.

I’d like to be a fly on the wall at the depositions of all those people. There is no way in Hell they will be able to keep their stories straight. No way. I see a settlement.

A 137 page lawsuit !!!!!!!!!
A lawyer isn’t going to spend that much time writing up a 137 page lawsuit unless they are 100% certain they will get paid.

The suit says Boswell warned then-Detective Charles Keene that the statement by Erika Sanez during an interview at a hospital could be considered illegally coerced because Keene told Sanez she could go home if she confessed
Here’s the kicker :
A judge later ruled the confession was neither voluntary nor admissible.
Seems like the Sheriff and the State Attorney should of listened to the Detective.
