Over the years they have eliminated a lot of common sense and officer discretion judgement out of police work, to make it very robotic.

When a police Department starts going by stats, it becomes an FHP who was called out for that and making money off of it. A decent police department runs stats just the opposite way, to show how crime has dropped, not how many arrest or tickets they have made.

Drove to that location drunk? Could have driven away drunk? What difference does it make?

Shut up.. you are part of the problem.. you must not have common sense. Take the keys away from the person and Tell them to pick it up from dispatch or do something else other than ruining These kids. 99% of the time they just want to come down from their room a little tipsy and want to smoke in the car so they don’t smoke in the room. It’s a BS DUI and you know it... go on the road and get real drunk drivers causing a danger to others. It’s sickening and this is the reason why the SOA and everyone else takes us as a joke..

How do you KNOW they were just coming down to their car to smoke? Couldn't they just smoke outside of the dorm? Do they not have designated smoking areas?

That "kid" got in their car for a reason. I feel confident it's not to walk 200 yards from their dorm to smoke. Buzzed driving is drunk driving.

I think its safe to say that YOU are a part of the problem. Do us all a favor and turn your badge into the Sgt. today on your way out. You're an embarrassment.

If you worked at usf, you would know it's a smoke free campus.. no designated smoking areas. I dont think there is a weed smoking zone on campus.

And the SOA laughs at us? The Sons of Anarchy motorcycle gang?? I didnt know they monitored our activity.

Time to turn your badge in old timer. You should know there is a zero tolerance for drunk driving. You would change your tune if this "tipsy" kid your talking about decides to crank up that car and drives through a red light and smacks into you or one of your loved ones vehicle.

DUI stats are great and is something that needs to be enforced. Just use common sense please and get them driving and not pushing the law that can be enforced. Remember most of the time it's the spirit of the law that needs to be enforced not the every book statute.
