What are the benefits to staying if people are essentially stuck in patrol for anothter 3 years till we hire enough people to refill specialized units? They promised everyone their spot back so patrol guys will never move to a new spot let alone days.

Read the policy, it says at the discretion of the Chief. He/she can keep someone if they want too. Stop worrying about everyone else.
