If he didn’t have a chance at Director they would have never made him a Chief...Remember that’s an appointed position, so obviously he is not disliked by the higher ups and politicians.

Nanney would be a great sheriff but they would never make him director, since he won’t do their dirty work thats why he got stuck as a major. A sheriff reports to the people the director reports to the mayor. He does better with people versus corrupt politicos.

The only whiner here is you. You view the world as an Anglo/Hispanic tug of war. Try viewing everyone that works with you as an American. Quit crying about Anglos not getting hired. If you lived here as a Hispanic in the 1960s and 1970s your chances of getting hired were very slim. There are guidelines inplace to ensure everyone has an equal chance. Stop trolling and move on.

The PBA membership is predominantly hispanic but theu voted for the two gringos cause they were best.
