Yes, flow with the current and survive! When the brass impedes your case closing, don't sweat it. Write a memo to your file as to how, what, when, who and why the brass and bimbo team-up to interfere in your case closing and keep it in your personal file at home. You never know when you might need it. Let the case remain Open Pending and then move on to the next case. When the brass demands Case Closure by Arrest, resurrect the case and close it with the brass's blessing and overtime. Your objective is to last in the Bureau as long as you want. When the brass's bullshit gets to a level that even ignoring it will not do, get out and go to the Airport, do your best five years there and retire with a sound pension. The latter is your ultimate "case closing" objective and that is the one that matters most to you and your family -- if that is your case.

I just love how the admin Lt is NEVER in the office and EVERYONE turns a blind eye to it. The Captain is very well of it but of course does nothing because it’s his buddy. I’m sure he even gives him overtime. He the biggest joke in this Bureau.
