Hey Chief Oates, how about showing some leadership and getting on the news to address the motorcycle incident? Just say our officers are frustrated with this reckless display of law breaking and the handcuffs put on them by my administration. I’m also disappointed at the cheese rat that handed up the officer in my department. We’re sorry, the officer has been spoken to and it won’t happen again. On to the next cop hating story!

Next MLK weekend please come to the City of Miami Beach. We welcome you with open arms and promise to allow you to disregard all traffic laws, gun laws (carry any concealed firearm you want), and of course our all time favorite, marijuana and drug laws.

Should your bike riding become unsafe while you pop wheelies, change lanes, brake check citizens, threaten citizens, cut citizens off.... We will gladly inconvenience our taxpayers by blocking 1 of only 3 exits out of the city so you can do whatever you want. Don't worry about the safety of our citizens they are not important and they can fend for themselves should they need a cop while 5 out of the 15 officers servicing the entire city provide you free escorts.

Really? How freakin so? I’ve only heard the opposite from a command staff member. Heard he and Oates are both talking about appeasing the media instead of standing up for the cop. Time will tell if the officer is disciplined.
