Guaranteed Peterson spoke to someone high up that day and was given specific instructions. It will all come out soon enough once Peterson gets the truth serum (subpoena). Certainly makes sense why the sheriff allowed him to resign so quickly after the tragedy occurred.

Peterson would never make any decision involving the sheriff's son on his own. He most assuredly called a supervisor for assistance. Peterson was told how to handle the incident and to write an "information" report. There is no doubt about that.

Hey Scott it seems that you did a really big favor for this guy and he repays you by calling you a coward on national television. But I guess he made up for it by letting you retire and saved your pension. I wonder who the go-between from Scott to the sheriff was that day? An SRO supervisor or the district captain? Bet whoever it was got a lot of mileage from this favor too.

There’s a reason why that report was approved by a lieutenant and not a sergeant.
A lieutenant who was trying make captain but who now suddenly retires for a job with the city of Parkland. It’s one big confusing mess. Also parents, ask to see the earlier versions of the report before it was corrected. OSSI saves them.

Interesting. Isn’t the supervisor who signed the info report the same who promoted at Parkland and then quietly retired after the shooting?

I thought he was already a lieutenant when he approved the report but that makes more sense. Rewarded with lieutenant.

Four years ago, that LT was a Sgt. Had he actually recieved any favors from SI, he would be a Captain right now and still be working. But SI hated him and his family and was never gonna promote him. So he said FU, did his 25 and skated. Like SP, he’s off enjoying his fat pension too. Botton line is, mom and the kid didn’t want to pursue it. Besides, there is no way the SAO files a sex bat on three kids on the baseball team screwing around with another player’s bung hole. I love though how SP went out of his way for SI and then got a bat shoved up his bung hole by SI.
