Mark Fuhrman was correct when he was on Fox News right after the shooting. He said he never seen 5 cowards before at one time he knew it had to be a problem with the command staff and top brass and he was correct. We had 5 Deputies failed to act that day not just because they were complacent cowards that was part of it, but I think the bigger part was this command staff and the policies they have passed. Every Deputy is afraid to take action and it’s safer to just stand back and take a perimeter spot. Even the responding Parkland Sgt in his own report admits to immediately stoping his car on Holmberg rd to stop traffic even though an active school shooting was taking place, and even though 2 other units where already stopping traffic. Hell the Sgt was even to scared to go over the radio and order guys to go into the school after Cruz. Instead he waited almost 8 minutes and treated it like a 21 in progress by calling for the Papa unit and K-9.
This is disgusting and starts at the top.

It is know throughout the county that Parkland, Weston and Cooper City are known for the mediocre and lazy guys because the likelihood of something devastating happening in those cities were slim to none. I am not surprised at all that those guys did not go in. If this occurred in Pompano, Dania Beach or Westpark/Carver Ranches it would of been a completely different story. Hopefully they shifted people around and put some competent deputies in those cities.

Parkland already paid. Unless R. Scott brings a decent interim the first week in July, expect a very public 90 day out clause presented to BSO. Most likely Parkland will contract with CSPD, less likely redevelop PPD. And,no one buys the one coward crap. As far as the upcoming post FDLE investigation strategy to "discipline" the other 5 players to show strength, don't bother. Everyone wants all of them out.

**In Goolsby’s report he states he arrived at the school less than a minute after Peterson’s initial transmission of shots fired, which as shown in this report was at 2:23 pm.
Goolsby also states in his report that upon exiting his vehicle he heard 4-5 shots fired somewhere between the 1200 and 1300 building and did not hear any more shots fired. (This is impossible, as he arrived at 2:24 as stated in this table, thus he should have heard MUCH more than 4-5 shots)
Goolsby also mentioned in his report that him and Perry unlocked the gate at the west end of the parking lot.
All of these statements from Goolsby’s report are inconsistent with the factual timeline as gathered from multiple sources.

*This is the first time the sergeant who is running the scene came on the radio, even though he had already been there for over 7 minutes
**Additionally,” We’ll be in business” is a strange thing to say considering the lives of 14 children and 3 adults had been lost.

4 officers from Coral Springs, and 2 from Parkland (Volpe and Hanks) enter to assist with rescue efforts.

In summary, it took over 12 minutes from the report of shots fired, and over 7 minutes from when Cruz EXITED the building, for any deputy to enter the building. (Besides Deputy Peterson who was on the school campus but did not confront the shooter).
Also, not one of the BSO deputies who did finally enter the scene were one of the deputies who first responded to the scene / were present during the active shooter. This appears to be a terrible response from the Deputies of Parkland. The fact that arrival times and other specific details are omitted from their supplemental reports shows deception. The reports submitted from the above-mentioned Deputies are not consistent with the timeline of events. The Sheriff’s office needs to correct the problems so failures like this do not occur in the future. It appears to be a combination of cowardice on the responding Deputies part and failed policies of the Sheriff’s office that led to this disaster. I am not saying the shooter is not responsible as he is 100% responsible for his action. However, Law enforcement officers must have the courage to push towards the shooter and eliminate the threat. It is not an easy thing to do but this is why they get paid high-risk pensions and get to wear a star on their chest. Deputies had a duty to act that day even if just a few lives could have been saved that day it is worth the risk, unfortunately on that day the heroes who stood up to the shooter and tried to save lives did not have guns, badges or protective vest. They were teachers, faculty staff and students some lost their lives, but they will always be remembered as heroes.

Ok so I read your timeline and it is very accurate and of course all the supplemental reports written are deceptive. But you forgot one very important thing. And that is Peterson himself.

The Sheriff himeself called Peterson a disgrace, a coward and said he made him sick to his stomach.

Peterson was immediately suspended pending an investigation that would surely take a long time.

This meant Peterson could not retire in good standing and would lose close to $80,000 in payouts and benefits.

But in an unprecedented move he was allowed to retire with all his benefits and money a week after the shooting???? This is unheard off and it reeks of corruption and a cover up.

Peterson who was on scene for the entire shooting and was the SRO did not even write a report? Think about that. The guy who knows more then anyone about what happened that day was allowed to take all his money and run in exchange for his silence.

Let that sink in. The children that died that day and their family deserve better.

Why is the PR firm trying so hard to bury this post?

The PR firm seems to be only one person whose sole task it is to attack a man named Gilbert Montalvo who obviously has some dirt on someone in the administration.

Its amazing how we find out just last week that the school security guard witnessed the shooter enter the school then went and told Peterson and drove him on the golf cart to the 1200 building that Peterson refers to numerous times over his police radio. It’s funny how Peterson never mentioned this in his TV interview. Maybe if any of the other responding Deputies or should I say Cowards would have actually approached Peterson he would have told them. But no it was better to stay out in the street directing traffic and hiding behind Police cars scanning the area. What a cluster f@ck and yes the entire command staff from the Sheriff down needs to take responsibility as their horrible failed polices have led us down this road and encouraged the cowardice behavior we witnessed that day.

Cowardice created by FEAR of command. Cowardice created by years of reinforcing that SRO's and Parkland deputies are not real police. They waited for the "real" cops to show up- just as they were taught to. It's the truth-the UGLY truth.
