    Dear Chief Colina;

    Chief Colina, when will you lead by example? Take this story for example, the Miami Gardens Chief of Police, she walks her neighborhoods and knocks on doors to talk to the community. unlike you sir, you wait for the community to come to you... in reality most in the neighborhood are not aware of the places you will be and if one shows up they feel intimated because you have 25 officers surrounding you. Walk the neighborhoods, the community wants to see the Chief of Police. You're human and not a robot.

    In fiction and non-fiction a red herring may be intentionally used by the writer to plant a false clue that leads readers or audiences towards a false conclusion.

    Please, no chief at MPD, ever knocked on doors or held town hall meetings, without having more cops then those from the community. It's easier to react, and make a example out of a officer, then to act and be a proactive chief. Maybe the chief's think's he's the Pres. needing cops, like secret service. It's funny were 1 person units, running around, in places that hate us. Yet, when the chief or mayor go into these place, they have a army of cops. The chief, needs to stop being 2-faced and grow a pair and back his people, before throwing them out to the wolves. Get all the facts first! That's twice, in almost as many weeks, you opened your mouth taking the high road. Just to have it come back and smack you on the azz. Don't be surprised, if soon the FOP goes for a no-confidence vote. It's only a matter of time. If you noticed some of your pals on staff are already trying to get the nod.. The one you least expect, who felt put out you got it and he didn't. You got to watch those #2's.. They think they are smarter, better equipped to lead a department..

    Noel Pratt's neighborhood knock and talk is all Dog and Pony Show! A ploy to redirect the public's attention from the real and persistent violent crimes plaguing the City of Miami Gardens. The same public-police interaction can be accomplished, by NET Commanders coordinating with the chief's office monthly NET Districts' Citizens Meetings on a rotational basis, until the chief has interacted with citizens from all NET Areas.

    Chief colon (culo Colina) was never a real officer - he hid his whole career inside the station - someone should dig up his stats when he was an officer - you will probably find no productivity - he spend his whole career inside - the only time you will see him on the street is when a child is shot in Liberty City - he will come out for the sound bite and the perfunctory "neighborhood walk" it is all a show - HOw much time did he spend on the street - getting to know the neighborhoods and the people ZERO CULO Colina

    Actually, you are completely dead wrong about this. Jorge was an aggressive, very sharp street cop. He worked "C" in Overtown, which is hardly "hiding in the station". You may not like his style or his progression through the ranks, but you don't get to staff rank by acting like an impulsive rookie or by making friends. Most chiefs at MPD had many more detractors than fans, and I'm sure that Chief Colina is no different. But don't confuse political behavior - required if you're going past lieutenant or captain - with someone being stupid, lazy or a coward. Colina was an excellent cop.
