When will the political class and their appointed bureaucrat minions learn they cannot stop miscreants bent on killing each other? ShotSpotters, cameras and "tactical" police deployment have not, like having a police officer remain on a signal 50, at a stationary position for the entire shift. That's idiotic and totally counterproductive.

Too much Liability, it would cost the city Millions on workers comp. Reserves will never be back in the city regardless if On Duty or 46. At the end boils down to Workers comp/money. Outside agencies working 46 are covered under the Dept. They work for it,until they get hurt and file workers comp. The world revolves around Money, money, money. Heredia will tell you.

Ok , you mean " that is why " and " 150 trained officers" , I'm assuming that's what you were trying to write . They are trained in what area of expertise if you could tell us, those 150 retired officers that according to you are willing to come back because we only have less than ten that want to come back and is only to work off duties directing traffic , are they professionals on directing traffic or just scamming the system like they did for all those years , they all are close or over sixty years old , you really think they can performed in this demanding field . Let it go, enjoy whatever is left of your time in here, life is too short , why you want to spend it directing traffic .
